WOW  :yikes:  we are all doomed.  That is amazing.  I made the dots so frigg'n big and slowed the rotation WAY down and the dots still disappear.  Very eye-opening Thanks for posting

Conversely, focus on one of the outside dots and note that the center dot will stay visible because it is flashing.  Maybe headlight modulators are the way to go.

Good observation :thumbs: I placed my mouse arrow over the center dot and sure enough it will disappear.  While still looking at the outside dot I moved the mouse and there it was.

This is good to apply to ourselves as riders.

Keep your eyes moving and scanning.

So eye scanning is normal behavior; IMO the test demands abnormal behavior and is not representative of true sight. Eyes have to scan back and forth for the brain to take in enough information to stitch together a cohesive picture. Try to stare at the dot in the middle and make all the dots disappear for any extended period, very difficult and you have to work at it.

Nice trick though.

We learned in flight safety seminars to follow objects by moving the head. Moving the eyes only caused the object to blur or even disappear.
You would think its crazy until you try it.
