Owners manual stowage
« on: April 28, 2012, 06:28:15 AM »
This is the first bike that I've ever owned that didn’t have a place to stow the owners manual on the bike.  Have any of you found a creative place to put it?  It is a nice tool when you are out on the road and something doesn't work right.

I don't carry mine on the bike. I have a mind like a steel trap and I've memorized the entire, the entire, um, what were we talking about again?

I don't carry mine either but I would think it would fit in the storage compartment on the tank, (08 & 09) , or I'm sure you can put it under the seat somewhere, it comes off very easy.

Yep, mine is just flying around in the one of the sidebags.  It might have been a nice touch had Kawasaki molded in a little pocket for it.

Does kawasaki have the owners manual available in Adobe pdf format?
If so, download it to your smart phone, et voila, open and read.

Mine is in a plastic bag in one of the sidebags where I keep other stuff such as: rain gear, pump, seat pad,  extra gloves, pull-over sweater, etc.

Mine is either in a Crown Royal bag in the sidecase, or I keep it in a pocket of my tailbag.

I keep mine in a zip-lock in the "glove box" with a clean rag.

Use it for those brain-freeze moments when I can't figure how to do something that used to be easy but is now second level computer programing...like changing the time back to daylight savings, or setting the trip meter.

Easy stuff after you read the programing map. A total PITA when trying to figure it out when you're itching to get back out on the road after filling-up.
