The defarklezation of a concours (C-10).
« on: April 28, 2012, 04:06:13 AM »

Think I might have deleted the thread by mistake

Knowing the connie would never sell for what it’s worth with the following farkles still mounted I thought I would pull em and sell them off separately.

Please do not PM me!!! Send me an  e-mail, makes it easier to keep track. Also, please don’t lowball me, I’ve been on the forums long enough, I know how much parts are, don’t send me an e-mail offering me $20 with shipping included for a $500 item, I’m just going to ignore you.

I’ll list the items I intend to sell along with prices shortly, in the meantime have a look at this concours thread on ADVrider for a list of the farkles currently mounted.
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7528036&postcount=170

I have boxes upon boxes of other farkles in the garage as well.

I do have some rules. If you are interested in something which would be a factory replacement you must provide that yourself in case I do not have one (IE heavy bar ends) as I don’t think I still have the factory bar ends.

If you want something like the full ZRX front end you should be prepared to do the swap yourself and the replacement should be in perfect shape.

There are a few things where I have kept the factory original (like my rear shock)

But others that I have not (like the GIVI sideracks and bags)

Off the top of my head I have the following in a box somewhere.

2 Corbin seats. 1 is the Dual Canyon model and the other is the more standard model (forget the name). for the standard I have a matching backrest (which will fit the other one also but not a perfect match). The standard seat is ripped at the front seam. It is my everyday seat for the connie, the Canyon has sat in the closet for years. It’s in great shape.

Pic of STD seat (old pic, it now has a rip)

$300 for the Canyon
$175 for the Standard due to the rip.
$150 for the backrest

Custom Russel with rare optional rider backrest PENDING tushy test by an IBA friend.

Hitch, custom, $250 https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-N--FdD_K2-c/TqbvW4pbOAI/AAAAAAAAHJE/eZAcCDk1hHo/s640/Connie%2520Hitch%2520%25281%2529.JPG

Factory backrest $75

TALL backrest (custom extension w larger, cushier pad) $125

Murphs trunk mounting rails, with second set of holes drilled for a GIVI rack (Murphs rails are designed for a Shad rack) $30

Fairing extenders, great for the winter $75

Small wind deflectors $50

GIVI rack $60 or take the metal plate for $30 and I’ll keep the other plate for new bike.

Top of the Line luggage rack w ultra rare concours mount $150

Heli bars (no handlebar adapter though, I have a ZRX front end) $250

Skip Holton’s Tip Over bars (these are NOT the crappy rivco bars) These are in perfect shape, aside from some paint loss here and there from use. Can and will repaint or powdercoat before shipping $500 shipped

For reference the current price for the Rivco bars will all options would be $577
Bars =$340
Pegs=$92
Light mounts=$45
Hella FF50s=$100

ZZR Alternator, still in the box, the ONLY choice for an alternator upgrade. Gives you about 250 extra watts. $750 (but feel free to make me an offer, new they are $919!!!)

Hagon rear shock with remote preload. $600

GIVI side racks w knockoff cases (cases are scratched and the paint is chipped) $400 (new $550) Already sold the actual GIVI cases I used to have.

Hagon shock w remote (less than 10k miles on it) $500obo (cost new was $675)

Rifle shield system with 2 shields. STD 17” or possibly 19” shield and XL touring shield. Touring shield is around 25” and roughly 8” wider. $250 for everything.

Custom made GPZ slip ons, sounds nice and throaty without being obnoxious. $200

Larry Buck Dash Shelf (nothing drilled or modified) $90

Or for $160 more you can have….

Murphs headlight upgrade kit $50

Hot Grips, extra wide, brand new still in the box. $100 Add $50 for heat troller

K&N air filter, it’s a spare, used a few times while waiting for the other one to dry $40

Half tank cover $40

Turn signal conversion kit (turns your turn signals into running lights) $40

I’ll be pulling the bike apart over the next week. I will probably not get to everything right away, so if you are in a rush please let me know, otherwise plan on me shipping the items next weekend or the weekend thereafter.

Think I might have deleted the thread by mistake

No, I did.  I asked you to put the bike type in the subject line.  You didn't.  It got deleted.  I'm asking again...put the bike type in the subject line.

Sorry about that, I thought I had made it obvious that this was a C10.

Anyway, I finally got around to snapping a pic of the other Corbin seat.
