Motorcycle Larry

I've been away for months and lost track about MotorcycleLarry's business activity.  Last ones I read about were delays and  some not too satisfied customers.  I'm looking at the passenger lowering brackets with the Yamaha pegs.  Could someone update me before I order.

He was in the hospital for a while due to a bicycle accident, but that was a long while back.  I haven't heard or seen anything negative lately on one site I do watch over.  ;)

I recently ordered some risers without any trouble.  Took about a week to get them.  I haven't had any reason to contact them and try out their customer service.

I am one of those who had a troubled order during the time he was in the hospital.  I ordered from his company about two weeks ago and had a good experience.  I find it annoying that they charge your credit card immediately when you place your order online instead of when the product is shipped, but I got what I ordered within a week.

It's easier for them...they only have to print your order out and ship it. 

If you charge the customers card at time of shipping you have to go back in the e-commerce software and charge the customers card when you ship. It's the right way to do it but takes more time . This is  how we do it at my company.

Yeah, CC transactions are tricky. A lot of larger companies will do a pre-authorization for the amount and then close out the transaction when the item ships. Unless you have an automated system that handles this for you, then someone has to manually close out the transaction. If you forget to close out the transaction, it will eventually expire and you have shipped the items to the recipient for free.

I'm pretty sure MCL isn't a high volume shop. He probably has a part-time job too...

I ordered a triple tree stem nut with a RAM ball a few weeks ago and received the parts within a couple of days.  No issues at all.

My package is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, so I guess everything is OK now.

Thanks for the feedback.  I've placed the order.  Since I had a confirmation that parts were in stock... I guess that I shouldn't have any problems.  I'll let you know.

I received my passenger brackets on Saturday. They took about 5 minutes to install (longer to read the instructions).
