Hope you enjoy the other forum as much as I enjoy this one.
I enjoy both forums, too...and I'm a new Concours 14 rider...is there issues/politics between forums? I figure we should all be able to play nice...we all have great taste in bikes, and I pretty much like everyone that rides!
=============
I have a 30" inseam, and wear 32" pants so they cover my ankles while I'm riding. I can uncomfortably flatfoot the bike (I weigh 215). My other bike is a Royal Star Venture (full-dresser) and it weighs 850lbs dry, so with a full tank and 400 lbs of human cargo, it's heavy. Light once it's rolling, though. My Connie feels like a lightweight bicycle in comparison, and I love it. I too find it very hard to get back on the cruiser since I've bought my Concours. And I can't stop daydreaming about riding it.
I went to a dealership and sat on an ST for 20 minutes, then on the Connie for a while, too. (My wife was quite irritated after a while, but comfort is important.) The ST and the BMW R1200RT seem to have about the same size and mass, both comfortable, but both were more like cruisers in disguise...I knew I loved the looks of the Concours more, and after sitting on all the choices, reading the raving good reviews, I took home a black 2012 model and never looked back. Probably added $1000 in farkles, but still the $$$ were way less than he BMW or Honda.
You will not be disappointed with the Concours.
