We were watching one come through the n.Atlanta area and it had a bead drawn right on our house. It lightened up into a heavy rain 10 minutes before it hit my house and 15 minutes after I ran all the cars into the garage and my truck under the rear deck. It was supposed to have 2" hail. As Maxwell Smart used to say, "Missed me by THAT much!" Thanks for asking.

In a message from Mike at Tellico Outfitters.... they are OK....the town had a direct hit...Weather Channel has some footage...

Mike said that they are OK, the town has many building destroyed....streets are blocked. limited power and phone service... they are helping friends and neighbors for next days clearing roads and getting supplies to folks....

He will try to re-open in a week or so...

For those that don't know, Tellico Outfitters rents KLR's & offers guided tours in the area.

The storms went through the county I live in, although well south of me. They passed about 5 miles south of where I live. At the time the storms came through, I was at the grocery store which was only about a mile away from the storm track. I didn't see or hear anything.
