My 09 still had the stock stones on it last weekend with about 2800 miles on them when I went to Arkansas. They are now toast. Those roads are amazing to ride, but man, they are abrasive.

Putting a set of PR3's on.

well, i can shed some light on my tires. have a 09 with 24000 miles. i ride this thing hard on the weekends, usually a 400+ mile day in the west Wisconsin's alphabet roads with some sportbike friends. Seems i can only get say 6000 from a front and around 4500 out of the rears. my eyes about pop out of my head when i see people getting 14000 miles on a tire. i am on my 5th set of tires. I have run the pr2 and the stone 023 the last few runs. the pr2 and 023 feel about the same for grip, but the pr2 would step slightly once in a while. the 023 are very consistent and predictable. my last two sets of pr2s had vibrations, not sure if a re-balance would have fixed them or not. on the track, one set shook bad over 120+ and another was about 90+ mph. the 023 has been super smooth at all speeds. my mechanic says they have a heavy 023 front for the bike, he is going to check into and i might run next time. this bike sure is fun but starting to dislike the looks from the wife about tires, lol

I failed to mention my next set will be PR2 over the PR3.  Put the PR3 through a full 7500 mile test and have concluded the PR3 is not worth the extra money over the PR2.

Totally agree. I think that the PR2 are better in the cold.

I have a set of angels (55 rear) in the garage. I was hoping to put them on in the spring but the stock stones don't look like they will make it.
