Yeah, the bike's speedo reads high. Some guys have gone as far as installing a speedo healer. I'm not sure why one would go through all that trouble and expense just to have your speedo read your true speed. It's not like you can't do the math in your head if you really need to know.
I assumed they wanted the speedo healer because they didn't want the extra mileage on the odometer. A 10% fast reading would add 100 miles per 1000 on the odometer... (So a bike reading 11000 miles would actually only have 10000....etc etc etc)
