Hey Coffee, I just finished mine at 62k miles and all were still within the specs, even after 20k since the last check. Where are you located? I can help you out if you're on the east coast. Or, PM me and I can walk you through a few tricks over the phone.

The mechanic that did them said they were a bit tight but not at a critical point. I guess I can go another 16,000 till the next one.

Sounds like you found a good contact there!
A lot of mechanics dont want to work on older bikes in case nuts / bolts shear off etc.
Keep listening to your motor and check your oil regularly and you will dodge most bullets!
