Not necessarily- traction control works by controlling the secondary 'flies, fuel and ignition. Even with the 'flies removed the ECU has complete control over fuel and that alone is sufficient to reduce power output to zero if the programmers wrote the code that way.
I do not have traction control on my C-14 but am curious as to how it would work with the 'flies removed. There were three posters in a row who claimed T.C. is still effective with the 'flies removed so I am inclined to believe that is the case.
Have you had T.C. fail or work poorly after removing the 'flies?
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound too authoritative. I am repeating an opinion formed from previous postings on various forums, stuff I saw in the factory manual, discussions with my mechanic friend, and some logical conclusions. I, personally, have zero experience with removing or disabling the secondaries.
I don't doubt the TC still works, I was just asserting that [supposedly] it would not work as well, since the "flies" are an important part of the system. I better qualified my previous posting. Thanks
