Asking for opinions but not allowing haters is kinda weird  ;)

The 2004 Honda RC51 I bought used had Shinko tires, and my opinion was that they sucked.

Can't help you as far as Shinko's on a C14, though.

Did you use the search term 'Shinko'?  I came up with two pages worth.

I agree, you need to read both positive and negative posts to make up your mind.  If you already like them, why ask?

Ill try again, just meaning some people want to tell you how much they suck ,im looking for people with positive input about the subject and people who use them , not how much better other tires are in comparison . i dont know if I like them obviously I havent purchased them yet or I wouldnt be asking.

Yes, he does.

Not on this forum.  I don't know what I'd do if that was the case... :'(

I've also been reported to myself.  I'll just have to have some Scotch tonight to help me get over it.  Oh the humanity!

Conair, unfortunately is no longer a member here....think Kill Bill and the scene where Lucy Liu takes off a head at the board table.  I especially like her last words at the table.  You know I can play that over and over again.  I really like that scene.  I have to watch that movie again tonight.  His request though...

As we no longer have Conair to kick around anymore, using the search (It's the one on the line with the word Home in it spelled 'Search') function and the word Shinko and only using the two C14 boards yields this:

http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=13907.msg170876#msg170876   Shinko Verge 011
http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=2343.msg26866#msg26866  Wore out the 009 Shinko
http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=930.msg8490#msg8490 Shinko Raven review
http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=4294.msg49326#msg49326 Long life Shinko Raven front

Notice the recurring theme here in that Shinko is a good key word to use.  And four is all I'm doing..

Anyone else have any requests?

As always, I'm late to the fire.

For me, it's michelin or bust.  God speed if you trust your life to shinko's.

Even my car has michelin tires on it now - Pilot Supersport.  Some good sticky rubber, even in the wet.

Asks for feedback but dictates the type of feedback he would care to receive... Complains when the threads does not steer in the desired direction and thinks he is being picked on unfairly by the sword wielding misfit sheriff on the island of misfit bikers?

Yeah, it's about time to refill with The Glenlivit 12...  I'll pour you one as well.  If you don't drink it, I'll take care of it.  ;)

Word to the wise, if you are going to report me to me, remember one thing.  I'm here all the time, unless I'm not.  Typically I'm not here late at night (East coast time) so really the best time to report me to either T or Chi or even Rick is when I'm either sleeping, in a stupor, riding, or sharpening the sword.  ;D   I love my job!

Thing is I would have taken the same stance and approach to resolving the issue....

Ran a set of the 005 Advance radials front & rear on my 17" shod C10 and they held the line quite well for me...

The last three sets of tires have been Shinko 244 on my DR650.
A good mileage and grip 80/20 dirt street tire, great pricing too.
Recently got a set of SM rims for the DR650 and mounted Shinko 003 Stealth on them.
So far so good, both work well on the light weight DR650.
For my ZG1400 with higher HP or the GL1800 both with a lot of weight on the tires, Shinko is not a candidate for me.

I ran out of tire in Arkansas/Missouri last year and had to run to a shop to get something.  I thought the tire was iffy when I left.  Had not the roads been that good, it would have made it, c'est la vie?  Anyhoo, a shop in West Plains MO removed the toasted PR2 from the bike, mounted, balanced and reinstalled on the bike a Shinko of some variety on my bike. It cost $107 out the door and got me home and did about 2k more miles.  It was a heck of a deal.  I looked up the model and I think it was a super sport tire.

All I know is when they told me how much it was, I threw down $107 in cash and we beat feet out of there before they realized the pricing error.  Then again, they did strip a caliper bolt but even given all that ($39 to replace the bracket used off eBay), it was still a deal.

This is the road that killed it, it died a glorious death.
