Badges! We don't need no steenkin' badges!
« on: August 11, 2015, 10:26:59 PM »
My brother has the same bike as mine ('root beer' 2012), only way cleaner.  He used fishing line, a blow dryer and Goo Gone to remove all 4 badges.  Looks sweet!  I will be doing mine soon.

Anybody else done theirs?

I still have the badges and I still get asked what make of bike it is! Most of the time I get the "Is that a BMW?" and in responce, I just point at the KAWASAKI.  ::)

I do agree that the bike looks cleaner without the badges, but I'm in no rush to de-badge mine.

I de-badged about 6 years ago and have always been amused at the conversation starter, "is that a BMW?"   I recently decided to screw with their minds even further.  Even though I've caught some flak from fellow Connie riders, (not BMW riders) all I see is the humor.  It's been fun.

I get a kick out of the Jap cruiser dudes that remove the badges so someone will think it's a hardly wobbleson.  ::)

So you're saying the actual search feature works?  AMAZING.

Um, guess I should have used it.  I know, I'll start a thread about tires, I'm sure that's never come up before!

I would consider putting one of those Kawasaki Heavy Industry badges from the H2H on top of the tank.

See,  I told you it's been fun.  I knew I was gonna get grossed by a bunch of ya when I posted that photo.  Congratulations on your brand loyalty.  Some have it, some don't.  I was looking at 4 different brands when I bought the C14.  I bought the bike I liked, not the brand. I couldn't care less who made it.  Well....as long as it didn't come from North Korea...Iran...etc.           Still fun!   :stirpot:

So you're saying the actual search feature works?  AMAZING.

Sometimes it works better than other times.  Seems to work best when I least need it and worst when I most need it.

I don't have a problem with the search feature at all.  Works fine for me.

Anybody else done theirs?
Since day 1. And do the same with all my cars, except where there're holes in the sheetmetal. And not only debadged it, but destickered it as well. Oh, and I dereflectorized mine too :). My reason is ease of cleaning/waxing and/or looks. The stickers just look like crap, and all that info is in the owner's manual anyway. By the way, the bike says 'Kawasaki' on the dash and taillight, but thankfully it's subtle. Only the model is missing, but you can always ask :).
