Finished sealing my gas tank, (now just four days to dry) and removed my valve cover in preparation for swap to SISF's power cams.

After roasting yesterday during my commute in 90 degree weather with 70% humidity, went home and finished putting together the shorty shield I had started back in the spring.  A lot more breeze, a little more noise, and now I need to remember not to leave my face shield open since it pushes the bugs straight at me. :-)

Just riding whenever I can lately. Have Murphs front fender extender and the spin-on oil filter conversion parts sitting/waiting to be done. New-used seat in route too. Have covered southeast Mass pretty good since February  ;D. The 19" Rifle shield gets the airflow over me better w/out the turbulance of the stock shield  :chugbeer: Reviewing this thread reminds me I should be doing more maintainance checks. BTW, is there anything that can be done with the oil check window? I can't see squat.

I put on my purty Gustaffson shorty shield.  I LOVE IT!!

Now it feels like I'm riding a motorcycle again.

An added benefit is the gauges and fairing doesn't flop around like a pair of 60yo DDs anymore.  I don't think the Cee Bailey's shield is ever going to go back on.

I will post pics in a couple days.

I ordered a set of Murph's grips to have before riding to Nationals.

Might ask for help to put them on while in Eureka Springs.

My heated closed-cell foam grips from PO are starting reveal their insides.

Changed oil, filter, lubed up the Uni-trac, and finished purging the brakes. I didn't do the rear a couple months ago along with the front and clutch.

I ordered up a Wang vent to put on my Cee Baily shield, hoping it gets here in time to mount up.

I rewired the GIVI lights in the trunk so they work.  Dunno' why GIVI couldn't get it right during the free install at their Daytona tent a few years back

Well actually this was yesterday. I replaced bearings in my front tire, spooned on a new Shinko 005. I then preceded to remove my rear tire (after swearing at my stuck exhaust flanges). It was then that I earned my "dumb a$$" award. A year ago I bought a new GT from a member here and I had convinced myself it was a rear; two front tires WOOHOO.

Changed brake fluid front/rear along with the clutch. Replaced coolant, powder-coated foot pegs front/rear, PC'ed saddle bag mounts.  Polished a handful of screw heads. Painted my shorty windshield.  Geez I need that rear tire................

Installed pulsing cover, plugs and coils and ran it up ... all sounded good and no oil leaking from old cover gasket.

Just finished mounting my Shinko journey rear. Damn that tire kicked my butt. All the It's I mounted slipped right on. Not this bad boy, I even left it sitting in the sun to get nice and warm. I would not want to do this tire cold. Nice looking tire. Can't wait till the rally to wear it down  :-\
