I washed it this morning. With soap, and water. I used a sponge also. :yikes:

Yes, it is still Candy Amaranth Red Mica.

Glad you're ok SC.  Bike can be fixed or replaced.

I'll be swapping out the VStream for the 7Jurock screen today... winter winds are starting to blow... and it blows.  8)

Actually it was 2 days ago.

I changed my front bulb for a brighter one from Silverstar, changed the oil from dino Rotella to synthetic T6, cleaned my K&N air filter and reoiled it, installed some grip heaters with a relay
(thanks for the info DarkKnight) and new 713 grips from Progrip and finally after washing it I gave it a shine with Plexus plastic polish.
Red (my Connie) still looks great for a 20 year old bike.

Then I rode the heck out of it just for fun.  :D

Sorted a small coolant leak today. When I replaced the water pump last October, I guess I should have tightened the clamp down one more click on the hose going into the hard pipe. Had a few small drops that would smoke at start up the past few months. Tightened it and did a shakedown ride, all is well.

Gotta say, it took me 36,000 miles to get this bike to where I finally wanted it, and now I can't believe how good it truly is. All that's left is to decide on which windshield to upgrade to. Rifle, Arizona, cut-down stock, and so on...not sure yet!

New Avon in the rear & an oil change. Heading for The Dragon friday morning.

It so much easier naked!

In the past week I adjusted the valves, synced the carbs, replaced the fork oil and cut 5 inches off the stock springs. It's 38 degrees out but I couldn't stand it. I took her for a short spin. It's like a new bike, runs and handles awesome. Oil change tomorrow.

My friends ask if I was getting ready to put her away for the winter. Hell no, I'm getting ready to ride!
