TPMS installation.
« on: June 05, 2015, 10:46:45 AM »
I need some help with TPMS sensor installation.  I removed the sensor from the back wheel of my Concours and took it to the local battery place for battery replacement ($9.99-less than a new battery shipped from Digi-Key).  When I went to reinstall the sensor, after tightening the stem to the sensor, the top of the sensor is not flush with the rim.  I didn't really notice if this was the case when I removed the sensor.  Is this correct?  Should the body of the sensor be about a quarter inch from the rim?  If not, could you let me know what I did wrong?  Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I can't help.  When the batteries went in mine, I had them replaced under warranty.  Never saw them.  I'm sure someone here will know the answer.

When I changed mine, it was at least 1/8 in. from the rim.
