Haven't seen that yet. We have the ST1300 for the police here in town and I've seen the BMW R1200GS decked out as a cop bike somewhere in NC too, that one was a first too haha! Connie's faster than all of them  8)

Both municipalities ans state agencies in Arizona use C14's and love them.

Quite possibly he did.  Since he's not here, a question.  How have you missed riding in Louisiana, as I thought maybe you had, or has it just not been colored in yet?  Curious C14 owners need to know. . .  tomp ;D

Hi folks, sorry for the delay. I have been out riding!
A deal appeared for me to trade my VFR to a friend for his 2013 CB500F, so that is what I did.
It's a hoot of a little bike, with some suspension mods and Dunlop Q3's I was slicing up corners in no time. Even got my knee down for the first time a few weeks back.
So currently I Have my Tiger 1050 and the CB. I am still interested in the C14 and keep looking at them for sale. I have a friend a couple hours away who has offered me a test ride, which I graciously accepted. That should be happening some time later this week. I will be graduating college in December and depending on where I settle at after school, I may make some changes. If I like the ride of the Connie it is the top bike on my list to replace the Tiger and possibly the CB as well.

Just lazy... :)
The trip to MotoGP, TX took care of that.  ;)
Crazily, none of my travels on two wheels had ever taken me through Louisiana.  :)

Hey, OP!
Glad you found yourself a ride and having fun!

I don;t think he should buy a C14.  A huge problem with mine was it took around 91,000 miles before the $#@%ing thing felt broken in.  Inexcusable, i might call Kawasaki.

So, let me get this straight, the 14 is broken in some where between 500 and 91,000 miles.  Mine is at 27K now, should I still need to be changing the oil every 500 miles and be checking for flecks of metal in the filter?

FWIW, there are KLR owners who have changed O/F 3-4 times by 500 miles, always looking for flecks and never exceeding 4K RPM.  Had two, rode the snot out of them both, from day one, and changed the oil once at 500 miles.  Amazingly, the oil still looked new, and had no flecks in it.  Kawi's break-in regimes are inconsistent yet the final results are normally the same, a good running, non oil burning, enjoyable bike.  Broke in a Ninja 650 and KLX 250S the same way, with the same positive results.

I believe we worry too much about the little things, flecks in the oil, for one...

I think you just defined the last several years for me.  We all tend to get distracted by the little stuff and miss the big picture.
