I am wondering, have any of you done your own modifications to the foam on your seats?

top!  my stock foam is shot and 1000 miles days are letting me know it.  hope to hear someone speak up.

was thinking about waiting for a 2015 seat to go for sale, if its half as good as the '10 seat I'm in  ;D

I've got a new seat cover but am trying to decide if I just put it on or tweak the foam first. It does seem a little soft for my weight.

Why don't you just carry your seat over to Spencer and have him redo the foam?  He is in your neck of the woods.

I am 190 and the stock seat foam is too soft for anything but local riding.  I do like it for local riding though.  The seat absorbs the microbumps in the road well.

I am about 40 lbs north of you so it is even more of an issue with me.

That's a terrific website, thanks for posting it. I read the whole tutorial and watched all the videos. My stock seat has me sliding forward, wadding up my shorts and, generally, ruining my mood. Fortunately I have an extra seat to learn on.

That is a good site. I am looking at it right now. The foam that is used on our seats, is it open or closed cell? I don't see a clear answer on the website. Maybe I missed it.

Temperpedic sample, cut to fit the original stock foam. I did this when I got my new 01 Connie, 104k on her clock and it still sets like new. Even though my riding is not as much as the earlier days, this faom is amazing, of course I have been sleeping on the same foam for as many yrs also.
