Batteries can show acceptable voltage and not perform under load.  Replaced my daughter's battery in her van the other day that showed acceptable voltage, yet when they checked it at the store, it came up bad.  Kinda like the bad nut in Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp).

Jonny Depp has bad nuts?  ( you can move this to the "Arena")  I'v been out too long.

I'm going home now.  I will venture out again in a few days.  :stirpot:

You can load test the battery yourself.  Put your voltmeter across the battery and then hit the starter.  If it doesn't maintain at least 9 volts while trying to crank the starter motor, it's a goner.

Thanks to all.

It was the------------------------------------Battery

I got 10 years out of the old one so I'm pleased!  (Shows if you take them out in the winter and keep them in the house nice a warm), they will last 10 years.     :finger_fing11:

Thanks for the great tip.  Sure is an interesting kind of bike that battery is in.   Pretty big battery too for a bike. :rotflmao:  :chugbeer:

(sorry, I forgot I was not in the Arena, yet I was posting in "Arena Mode") as you can see by the above.  :yikes:

Thanks again for the great tip!
