I was having the same issue with my C-14 as I had with my Honda ST 1300. That is poor rear vision to the rear with the stock mirrors. So...from Bike Masters I got two T2 handlebar mirror adapters, black for the 7/8" bar with 10mm threaded holes. From "vipcycles" I got two black round Viking mirrors with stems, $26.95. Now I can see what is behind me! The only issue I have is the stems brush up against the windshield at full lock, so I raise the windshield a bit when I have to paddle the bike around my garage.
Do you have a gen1 or gen2 (you should list that in your signature/avatar info)? I really don't have any visibility issues (gen2), just a little bit of bag at the bottom, otherwise really great views. It will depend on your sitting position and torso height.... I have a long/tall torso and also sit more upright due to handlebar risers. Gen1 has lower mirrors, so they can be more problematic.
