I have around 12.7k in the leftover 12 I just bought figuring the value of the bike I traded in  and the check I wrote.
that is out the door taxes ext. warranty  and all.    so if you can get one otd at 13k or less its a good deal.

$12,500 is a pretty good target price OTD including set up.. But in Maine we then have to pay for taxes.

Sorry Doug, I least I didn't get the worst deal. I paid $15,000 OTD for my 2010 in Colorado.

12K new, out the door, is a steal.

Have you seen any new (or left over) Honda prices lately?  :o

I was quoted $7299 on a '13 new CB1100.  Thought maybe about a Cafe transformation, but decided that I am just not a Honda guy.  "you meet the nicest people on a honda".  That slogan just doesn't do it for me.  ;)

$7299 is a great deal for the CB1100. I was just looking at bag options for it. If we could only find a Windjammer front end for it.

Makes sense to me, as the new models have many good changes that owners complained not having, and potential owners were demanding.  Who would want a small tank 5 speed, when a larger tank and a 6 speed is available?

connie_rider, after removing the 6.25% tax us Texans pay, and any set up, title and paperwork fees, the actual price for the bike is probably below $12.5K.    Not bad for a current model.

I was going to turn it into a cafe bike so 6th gear and larger tank didn't mean anything to me.  Then I realized that I was settling if I bought the honda and a 70s cafe, when I really want the Thruxton and it's 60s cafe look.  I will just have to keep an eye out for a slightly used Thruxton to play with.

One of the semi local dealers came in at $12,999 so I took it..

Keep in mind I have to add 8% sales tax and $80 for a plate (thanks NY) to that but overall I'm ok with the deal.....Plus I don't have to drive a couple hundred miles round trip to pick it up..

Thanks for the info everyone !

Congrats on the purchase, and as long as you are happy with the deal, that's all that counts.  Ride safely, and enjoy the new ride... tp

Here in Cali SF bay area you never see prices in the 12k range, 14k is about as close as I have seen. I notice used bike prices are always cheaper elsewhere in the country also. Gotta pay to stay in California.  :banghead:
