They are trying to roll it out in 2014, still working on a battery design for a 9 hour ride without recharge

My thoughts exactly! Plus I don't just repaint my bike color after color, I tend to ride it. ;D

I'd love to try it but it may be TMI and distract from the riding experience.

Not for me.  No more constantly looking at left and right rear view mirrors since I have a display of everything behind me.  No more glancing down and left at GPS.  Of course i already listen to mp3's and such...I might have been known to watch a netflix show or two on the superslab  =)

I'm confused about these distraction comments, feel paranoid I'm missing something ?

How can a helmet "distract" when its making it easier to see and use features we already use (GPS, check our rear-views, listen to MP3s)?

And I'm sure like on all our other devices there is an "off" selection?

Or is it because another bad-azz product is rolling out?  Or is it fear of change as tech drives this global economy further into the future?

My last Shoei RF-1100 was crap, my Schuberth is silent like they advertised, but I'm not all that impressed.

I ride a motorcycle to experience motorcycling. That excludes GPS, MP3, any and all distractions except the experience itself. I have never had any problem seeing what I need to see while riding for 50+ years. Glancing at displays for info needed at certain portions of a ride is voluntary, having it stuck in your face takes that decision away from you.

I ride to get AWAY from all of that crap and become immersed in the environment I am riding through. It is why I started riding and why I continue to ride. My experience does not need any hi-tech help of that type at all.

Well, my beta luck has been holding up so I filled out the form.  I can only imagine how cool this would be for our on road portion of our Military Mentor Training program.

Fingers crossed.

I find this helmet...

Spock - Fascinating!

Good luck to all getting in the beta program!  Most times, though, I prefer nothing (distraction wise) at all.

Twits...

Jay, where else can you go where you we have this much fun?
