New C3 PRO Schuberth
« on: February 05, 2013, 12:01:41 PM »
I am so purchasing one of these new helmets.  Revzilla did a great job explaining the difference between this and the last C3 model:

^^^^agreed!  The last one was $699, so the improvements are 80 bux.  And the regular C3 was undisputed the quietest helmet until this one came out.  But some of the other features of this one grabbed me attention, I was about to buy the C3 anyway till I saw this

I wouldn't mind having one of these but for that kinda scratch I'm gonna have to lay hands on it first.

I personally think that 800$ for a helmet is a waste of money!
(unless a particular shape of the head requires a"hand made" helmet...;) )
Anyone is free to spend the money the way he likes, though!  ::)
Stand out from the crowd: do not buy a BMW !!!

Some will reach deep into the savings jar when "second best" just won't do, right?

Truthfully I work from home and want to conduct conference calls from my bike instead of office.  I need the quietest helmet possible, even if i spend a little more.

Moves more air than the previous version.  If they had this in a DS version I'd be all over it.

Who's going to be selling there C3 to upgrade to the C3 Pro? It could free up some extra cash.

Any one have issues with installing the Scala G4 or G9? Of course you you could purchase the Scala designed for the Schuberth for another $400, to solve that problem!

+1 I would have to put one on and feel the fit and finish.

I inquired about it at my BMW dealer today.  I will give it a test ride and likely buy it.  I have found that on most bikes I ride the wind noise is coming up from the sides of my neck.  I can ride at highway speeds and hold my hand over that area and it cuts off the wind noise.  The Schuberth helmets are designed to fit tight against that area.  And I agree that the features of the Pro version are designed to really improve upon the current models.

Hopefully someone will have these at the International Motorcycle show in Charlott N.C later this month.

How much is this dealer asking for it?

^^^ my BMW dealer is matching $769 internet price, taxes considered too.

I may leave a lunch or a tip. Because if I ordered it off the net I couldn't hold it, try it, compare colors, droool as hard, etc

My local dealer (Raleigh N.C.) has Schuberths to try, but I don't know if they have the new PRO Schuberth yet.
You'll need to contact your local BMW dealer to see if they have any.

Just looked at the BMW of Denver website and they have them in stock. Just too many expensive stuff on my wish list right now. But next time I go by there I will check it out.

I'm betting that the dealer in Denver does not have them yet.  I was at my dealer yesterday who is a large stocking distributor and they have not even been able to place an order yet.  Revzilla also shows them in  "pre-order" status.

She said they don't really have a price yet.  But she also told me that they are not allowed to deviate from the mfrs price unless they are given permission.  She thinks there is a chance they will be able to discount the non-pro version once the pro model comes out.
