Swingarm torque; static?
« on: January 25, 2013, 03:54:36 AM »
When torquing the swingarm, should it be with the wheel on and on the ground or wheel on on centerstand or no wheel? Wanting to check after replacing the bearings last year.

I have done it several times centerstanded, wheel on. I see no difference in having the wheel off, but if the wheel is on the ground you wouldn't be able to get a good torque reading as the bearing wouldn't want to move. HTH, steve
