Hey all,

Just bought a new 2012 model, burgundy color. Wanted to say hey and thank members before me for all the good info, you've saved me lots of time researching which upgrades provide what type of value, thank you! I already have my wish list of upgrades - no questions where any tax return will be spent.

I thought it a therapeutic exercise to share the list of my previous rides as my wife thinks I need a 12 step program. Maybe you'll find it fun to respond with your list, addicts like company.

1981 - 1981 Kawasaki KZ 550 an addiction is born
1983 - 1976 Kawasaki KZ 900 the one I should have never sold!
86 - 96 first marriage lots of water skiing no riding  :-\
96 divorced
96 - 1993? Kawasaki Vulcan super slow
97 - 1995 Triumph Sprint great sport tourer classic green color
98 - 95 Honda Valkyrie fun in a straight line
98 - late 80s Honda CR 500 thought dirt was safer - not
99 - 99 Truimph Sprint ST much faster than the 95
2001 - Kawasaki ZRX 1200 great standard bike
02 - 02 Kawasaki Mean Streak did my first iron butt on this one - sore traps for a week
Remarried much cooler wife that loves to ride
04 - 03 Triumph Sprint ST seems like a theme yes
06 - 04 Kawasaki Mean Streak
07 - 07 Honda Gold Wing - sold after wife kept falling asleep on the back 2nd iron butt way better
08 - 08 Harley Davidson Street Glide came with 50K new friends that like to wave at me
11 - 06 KTM 300 XC - still have this one crazy fun in the dirt!
12 - 2012 Kawasaki C14 lost 49,578 HD riders that want to wave at me  :o

Enjoy the ride....

JB

But think of how much more fun riding will be when you are not having to wave constantly, are not numb from being vibrated to death, in pain from being battered to death, deaf from being blasted to death, blind from all the chrome, and bored from having no hp or cornering capability!
Shoodaben (was Guhl) Mountain Runner ECU flash, Canyon Cages front/rear, Helibars risers, Phil's wedges, Grip Puppies, Sargent World seat-low & heated & pod, Muzzy lowering links, Soupy's stand, Nautilus air horn, Admore lightbar, Ronnie's highway pegs, front running lights, all LED, helmet locks, RAM Xgrip, Sena SMH10, Throttle Tamer, MRA X-Creen, BearingUp Shifter, PR4-GT, Scorpion EXO-T1200,etc

Max - the Hawg wasn't all that bad - had blacked out exhaust and motor, don't mind acknowledging fellow riders, have custom fit ear buds and didn't mind the massage effect (think 1950 fat melting vibrating belt).

But I did miss the speed and flick-ability of a sport tourer. riding a comfortable bike with plenty of power, when you think - pass that car and it's done - priceless.

I would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, exaggerate :)

I always wave to other bike riders, regardless of what they are riding (unless they are blinding me with high beams, or I was not in a safe position to wave).  Vast majority also wave back.  Just wanted to point that out.
