Alternative to Muzzy exhaust hanger?
« on: November 14, 2012, 05:20:03 PM »
G'day All,

Going a dual exhaust with some ZX headers and I'm having trouble getting hold of the left hand side exhaust hanger mod from Muzzy's.

Are there any alternatives (other than fab'ing my own) out there?

Anyone have one they want to sell?

Thanks in advance

The Muzzy bracket itself I think nothing, the problem is I think Muzzy is a bit uncomfortable dealing with someone not in the US...

I'm using the bracket, nice hardware. I don't understand Muzzy not dealing with you.

You should call them G, I've had pretty good support from them on questions over the phone.

Oh it's not that they are not dealing with me, and I don't want to suggest they are a bad vendor, not for a second - but now into third day of email exchanges and wanting to verify this and do that.  Just mildly painful is all when normally I can just buy straight off a commerce system (like I did with More Power Racing) without the extra jumping around and I am trying to get things lined up for Christmas break when I put it all together.

Hey worst case I was actually thinking of asking you if I could transfer you (or someone on the forum) some bucks via PayPal and have you get it for me.

Wouldn't normally worry so much, buuut a bit integral to my system now.

Yeah us Aussies are used to paying distance tax  ::)

But that's one of the delays I am experiencing, asked them for a price on shipping USPS from the get go (because some US vendors will only send things via FedEx/DHL/UPS which would be the same price as the bloody bracket) and still waiting the answer.

Really appreciate the offer Jay and if I don't have an answer waiting for me tomorrow morning I'll just get you to order it if it still remains OK.  It's a bit of double handling but for a $80 product it shouldn't be this difficult.

Big thanks to ZG and his main contact where he gets his bike worked on.  Got the hanger ordered in five minutes which I was unable to do after a week with Muzzy direct.  It just showed up today coincdentally at the same time as the Two Bros carbon fiber black exhausts (sourced from MorePowerRacing.com also very easily) all ready for a Christmas project to put it together.
