Spending some time looking at possible tires for my new C-14. I know full well what the specs are for tires but for me personally I would love a tire that wears like a touring tire since I have no need for the real speed potential of this bike. Don't get me wrong, I love the power but doubt if I will ever see above 120. I have been following the Michilin Commander lineup and they have a few v rated tires that approach near the correct size. The Commanders are being praised for there very high milage potential and excellant even wear. The rear tire they have is a 200/55/VR17. I know it will fit. The only front in the same family is a 140/75/VR17, I do not know it would fit.
WITHOUT going into a hair of fire rant I would welcome feedback.
I've been thinking of doing the same for the rear , but I'll stick with the stock P 3 or P 2 for the front, they do well , plus you don't want to mix radial and non radial tires. The 200 55 17 is a radial and a two compound tire.

No rant from me, if folks didn't try new things (within reason FWIW) we would still be suck on the stones. I agree with Cuda, not adviseable to mix bias w/non bias tires.
I have a bias ply commander II rear tire waiting to be installed on my Vulcan Voyager. I haven't even considered them for the Connie because I consider them a cruiser tire which means they won't be leaned over hard in the curves. Has nothing to do with going 150 mph. I am more concerned about sliding out in a curve and boy does the Concours love the curves.
This is an interesting topic. Sport touring riders seeking longevity out of their tires consider cruiser tires for their bikes. Cruiser riders seeking longevity out of their tires consider car tires for their bikes. Sport bike riders consider sport touring tires, etc.
Not me. That would be a wagon wheel regarding traction. My riding style dictates that I should lean around the twisties at speed and have traction in wet weather... I prefer the PR3s at the moment.
