The only difference is the 2006-2007 do not have the catalytic converter in the header and the o.d. on the collector is slightly different.

If you want to install the entire stock ZX-14 exhaust (the cans have the cats in them) you will need to modify your center stand and fabricate a mount for the left can.

Jeremy,
can you be more specific on o.d.
is it head and header or header and the can( muffler) slightly different. would a header need any mod. to be bolted to the engine head?
thanks

The head pipes will work.  Like I stated, the collector (outlet behind where all 4 head pipes merge together) is slightly different.  I researched on a ZX-14 site a while back and found the differences between the different years.

Here is where I found some info.

I did the zx-14 exhaust and found two problems. First, the are extremely heavy. Two, the left one kept hitting the shaft drive cover. When I would adjust it out so that it cleared the shaft it was not in line with the right side or in other words stuck out to far.

I ended up doing this and am happy!

Hey Curly I did the same,  ZX header , cut open the collector removed the cats,  wraped in heat tape and Two Brothers , I used a Muzzy muffler hanger for the left side but I have not  had my side bags on since the change over because the mufflers hit the bags ? I 'm going to take it to a muffler shop to see If they can bend the pipes between the header and muffler to get me clearance. Did you have the same problem???

Same here. What I did was take a regular car exhaust hanger and cut it into two pieces which I made extensions which pushed the pipes down enough to clear the bags. They are a little on the crude side until I find some that are purpose built.

I get it , I used a 1/4 thick 1.5 wide Al strap drilled two holes , lowered the mufflers ,  Perfect , I did not install the pipes , employee , but after I thought about what you did I bought a strip of 1.5 inch aluminum  and my bags are back on , Thanks jj

You might be able to get more than $200 if you sell them for scrap metal.   ;D

I can't imagine having TWO bazookas.  The zx-14 needs all the extra power to haul the exhaust around.   :-X
