Dash Shelf
« on: November 08, 2013, 09:25:59 AM »
A little over a year ago, there were a couple of threads about a dash shelf for the C-14 that a company out of Idaho, Kawasaki Authority Sales (?), was making for police bikes for about $90.  I can't find any record of them still in business, does anyone know if these shelves are still available?  The previous contact information doesn't get me anywhere.

Thanks.

I bought the shelf and the 2nd tail light. Quality products, fast service.
Now I just got to breakdown and get them installed.  As soon as I install my rear hugger too!

Check on the Marketplace tab, on Industry Merchants.
Thread started by "Kas", same company now offering 3 other products.

Happy shopping!

wow that dash shelf makes the best use of wasted available space I've yet to see on a C14!

I purchased a dash shelf from KAS before the price reduction and the mid support was offered. I added side arms to stop the bounce that my longer Ram arm mounted GPS induced.
I also added a slotted steel tube covered with rubber fuel line to the edge of the shelf in case I was involved in a frontal crash. I don't know if it was needed but I envisioned the shelf cutting off my knee caps or toes as I flew across the top of it in a crash. Probably a waste of time, but it sort of looked like a potential knife edge aimed right at me.

That's nice Marty but we need the story on the horn.
Always somebody wanting to go off topic.  ::)

Short story: Horn has since been relocated to the left side MCE bag protector next to the drink holder.
Old story: I started a tradition of a squeeze horn back in the early 70s when I played with Moto-Cross, and I
just continued it on all my bikes since. I've added a Stebel and a low tone Fiamm Freeway Blaster for my C14
unfriendly horns, so it's nice to have a friendly horn for when I just want to say "Hi".

Move over, comin' thru, get outta my way!
