What about a pistol style tazer? My sil has one on his oposite hip, loves it, and it is extremely easy to use. Like a pistol, usage is always a question mark, no-lethal will help, especially in another state or country.

I as well send my condolences, GPZ.  I have a CHL, had one when I lived in TX too, so my suggestion wasn't coming from an anti-gun stance.

You may have better luck searching for a member in the border crossing area to hold it for you... good luck on the search, and have a safe trip.

Well,
I'm 12 miles from the Detroit-Windsor crossing if that'll help any.
It'll keep my Ruger company until you make the return trip....
Send me a pm if you decide to take me up on my offer....

Find yourself a reputable pawn shop.  Pawn your gun, buy it back on your way home. It could work ???

I'm in central Indiana (Indianapolis), I may not be home but I have a place you can store it safely. Drop me a pm if you want to try that way

Find a firearms dealer in the area and inquire if you may keep your firearm at their store during your trip.
Or a safe deposit box at the local bank.
