Thursday the wife and I are heading out on a 5000 mile 15 day trip to New England (from Louisiana) For the first time in our 12 year riding career together she is doing a lot of the planning, it was her idea to do this trip although neither of us has been to New England.
We will make stops in AL, GA, WV, NY, VT, NH, ME, RI and NJ. Probably three more days from there but that is as far as I have planned. The 08 C14 has new tires and fresh fluids. Can't wait, Woo Hoo!
Enjoy it. I seem to be on top of the list lol. Maine.Although my wife says she does not love to eat, a tour of the Cabot cheese factory and eating Maine Lobster are high on her to do list!
Sounds like a great trip. It also sounds like you are going to be pretty close to me on the way by- drop a dime when you are close and maybe we can have lunch or dinner together or something. I am sure I can break away from the KiPass Research and Perfection facility for a bit. I will send a PM with my phone number. That would be fun, I hope we can hook up.

Burlington VT is a great small city, as is Portland ME. Both are places I love to visit, with good brewpubs. Bennington VT has the Hennings Motor car museum and while I've not riden it, VT 100 is reported to be a great road to travel. Thanks for the suggestions! We do plan a stop in Burlington and a tour of the Cabot cheese factory. Also plan to ride the Mt Washington Auto Road, weather permitting.
The state museum in Hartford CT has a large collection of Colt firearms, if your interested. My wife isn't into firearms but found the display fascinating.
Newport RI has the mansions of the rich and famous that you can tour, along with the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
MA has Plymouth Plantations (south of Boston), Boston itself (too much to list besides Old Ironsides in Charlestown), Lexington and Concord. The western part of the state is cool too. I believe the Norman Rockwell museum is in Stockbridge MA.
Funny, I live in NH and am not sure what to recommend here, other than perhaps the cog railway on Mt Washington. Not sure if it's operating right now. The Kangamaugas Highway is a fun road, as are most of the back roads up here. You can literally drive through all 6 New England states in a day if you want to push, but you wouldn't see much if you did.
Just some quick thoughts.

We moved to PA from OK last fall. We really love the northeast so far! Looks like a really nice ride. What's the coldest temps you've ridden through on this trip so far?We had a short stretch of 42 F. Mostly 45 to 52 for the last 5 days.

Not too bad, I'll take that over the 100's in OK last year! Stay safe and have fun! With electric gear the cold has not been a problem. We are staying safe and having huge fun. Had a great visit last night with BDF, Andrea and Kirby in Rhode Island. What a great trio!
If you need an assist or a place to clean up, do laundry, wrench on the bike or stay the night while in NJ let me know. My wife and I did 3000 miles in two weeks (NJ to Nova Scotia) last year. Thanks for the offer. We are at 2580 miles so far and a little over have way.
