01 1000 concours shinko 777 rear tire w balance beads in it not tracking smoothly at all like dunlop did on my last 01 concours 1000. tire is size manual recommends. 41 psi. will try lower psi. adjusted aftermarket shock no help. just started on this issue. just bought this bike. has aftermarket front springs also. this rear shock not air adjustable. feels like r tire has very slight bounce to it. last bike was rock solid smooth in rear. thanks for any help. may try swapping rear wheels w old bike. that should tell me alot. have heard this tire may be problem.
remove those beads and re-balance the old fashioned way.
beads, they didn't work worth sh!t for me.
shinko makes great budget tires. I have the same tire on my 2001 and works like a charm. may be a bad tire; but take those sh!tty beads out first and see.
A lot of people love the beads and swear they work. I have never tried them. I'd be surprised if they are causing handling issues though.
I would make sure the wheel bearings are ok and the swingarm bearings. The shock linkage bearings might cause some issues but I would think only on bumps.
Beads don't work. i experimented with them, not just running them but also running / removing / static balance on the same tire etc, and came to that conclusion. It would be nice if they did... but they don't. Steve

Yep the beads can't work but it's very hard to convince some people even with science, physics, and facts. Read the 6 page discussion (so far) linked: http://drriders.com/topic7007.html
I hope I don't have the problem with this Shinko that I did with the last one. I don't even remember what it was but they discontinued that model. I had tread separation.
