Way too much obsession with speeding. And yet distracted driving, non-use of turn-signals, tailgating, horribly aligned headlights, general poor driving, and many other things flourish. "Drives me crazy and annoyed".
Don't they UK Govt. want to do that anyway....at least the ones with engines? What about motorcycles?
Yeah, but the Nordic countries have less than 10 cars each.
What makes me crazy and annoyed..
Community Speed Watch is relatively new and is "a partnership between local people, the Police, the Fire Service and local councils. Volunteers spend a short time each week monitoring speeds and noting number plates. Those identified as speeding are sent a warning letter and the police will take further action if the same vehicle is identified as speeding three times.[ Community Speed Watch is only permitted for speed limits of 40 mph or below. Junior Speed Watch works in a similar way but involves schoolchildren "
OFFTOPIC: Just curious but what 'further actions' are available?
Possibly upgrade the letter to a large font in BOLD ??
That may well be when they call in person on your doorstep or more likely they'll put an Officer with a speedgun out and catch you "officially"
Hornet in my beer. Went and pushed the granddaughter on the swing. Came back and took a swig and felt a small lump in my mouth. The lump was moving and stung me a few times. Spit it out and then stomped the sh** out of it. This makes me crazy and annoyed.

Interstate driving ... while you're in the fast lane and keeping right up with the vehicle in front of you ... when a jack wagon of a driver speeds past to the right, even though he's fast running up on a slow lane car and has no reasonable room to move into the fast lane in front of you, and yet he continues to press and press and press trying to get in.
What this does is cause me to drive very dangerously, because his actions force(!) me to suck up to the back bumper of the guy in front of me, with a mere skosh a of a space between us, for the purpose of eliminating any chance of the aforementioned jack wagon thinks he'll be forcing in front of me. I will not allow it. Just won't. Can't do it. He'll have to hit me to do it. And these days I'm driving an aging pickup with enough dents and dings that I wouldn't be crushed if our vehicles actually do touch. Hopefully he's observant enough to notice those dents and dings and realizes.
This makes me C&A'd.
Since I don't any longer carry an Epipen(?) due to the shelf life and crazy cost increase I would probably have died before being able to finish the beer, which can't be allowed to get warm.
Holy crap! You were stung IN YOUR MOUTH?
Oh yeah, I finally received notification from COX that my 'request' for 'credit' has been approved and payment will be along....in 4 to 6 weeks. Hey, big companies cannot be expected to move quickly but I do have to wonder how long it would be before they got around to terminating my service should I fail to meet payment deadlines.
No matter, this is acceptable and the expected way I thought this should have gone from the beginning (without any interaction on my part). I am no longer cranky about this but I still believe it is very underhanded, poor and very possibly fraudulent behavior on COX's part.
