Got the OK from the lady so off I went.
Took rt. 20 out to the Oregon coast from Corvallis to Newport. I usually go down rt. 34, but this time of year with the leaves building in all the wrong places on shady wet corners I just b-lined her to paradise.
Went south on 101 through Waldport, Yachats, and on to Florance. The road was in excellent condition for this time of year. Very little traffic, sunny for the most part and dry roads 'till the very end of my trip. One of the best days in years on a bike.
This machine is a dream to ride, the more creature comforts I throw at her, the further I want to go. Round trip was 215 miles. Other than doing a butt cheek curl the last 75 miles or so with the stock seat, this bike rules.
Pics are from Sea Lion Caves area between Waldport and Florance, one of my favorite parts of the coast. Those are hundreds of sea lions on the rocks bathing themselves.
