bummer,
I feel for you as when I was searching for a helmet that met my "expectation", in a flip version, in a price range I felt was acceptable for something that I only plan to use for 5 years, and toss... I purchased/went thru 5 different products before finding the one I liked.
I could see by the reviews that the sight picture on this helmet would not be what I desired, as I have a super wide field of vision, both vertically and horizontally, and could not accept seeing padding in my field of vision...
I looked at the review, which was quite good,

I finally settled on the ZOX Genesis, which was outstanding when compared to every other comparably priced product, and half dozen other high priced spreads...
I found it substantially more quiet than the reviews showed with higher priced models rated more quiet... maybe they had a bad helmet...
I have never been sucked in by the "more you spend, the better you are protected" line, a helmet is designed to work ONE time, if it is destroyed, and saves you brain, it worked. If it isn't destroyed, toss it anyway, I have tossed helmets that have been dropped hard on pavement, just because I could not trust them not to explode.
