I painted mine tonight with Krylon Fusion, semi-gloss black. It looks good. Actually, its better than the plastic Kawasaki ends it slides in to.
Nothign difficult about removing the plastic panals for access other than two of the plastic phillips head rivets refusing to back out. I was able to put sideways pressure on one of them to back it out. The other was accessible from the opposite side. On a 70 degree day the paint was dry in 15 minutes. Not completely cured, but dry enough to re-install.
The sunlight was shining directly on it, but the color is actually very uniform. If you have not tried the fusion, it sticks to plastic (and plastic contact lenses) very well. I had a friend do all the plastic on his dirt bike. Its still holding up after three years.
Very serious, it sticks/adheres great and it has a very nice finish if applied correctly.
So does that stuff that comes out of your backside...although I must say I'm not sure of the 'finish' aspects.

Finished!
Actually wasn't too bad once I got going/drinking, so simple a cave man could do it I'd guess you could say, I don't even change my own oil so this was a big project for me...
Good plan. I have actually considered taking all the plastic on the bike in to get painted with Rhino Liner. I saw a bike done in it last Summer and they did a great job on it. It looked great. No scratches.Don't forget to replace the Kawasaki logo with the John Deere one.....

That looks good......think I will put bedliner on mine.
Dude! That pic of your rail, the trunk, and the Michelin under it all has got to be the best C14 pic I've ever seen. I've taken one or two of mine, and none (even the ones with wiminz) compares to this pic!
***** <----your bike is 5 star!
I like it. Like your black rims, exhaust cans and and your turn signal lenses which also appear to be blacked out.
Yep, you have one of the best looking non-Silverdammits out there.

except for the exhaust (sorry ZG, I really like the Remus Hexacone), I completely like the looks of your bike
