Hey, it's Winter, things happen...
Battery operated electronics that require the smallest Philips head screw driver in the world to unlock the battery compartment. It's a fart machine, not some high priced gizmo electronics device.
This was a 9 volt battery.
They don't want kids eating those either! Especially batteries that have been in a fart machine.

This brings to mind a story but it will have to wait for tomorrow morning.
Thankfully the battery was found before those procedures were done as it was hidden in the covers on her bed. Idiot technicians.

I would imagine 'passing' one of those could be an interesting event to listen to though..... what with all those corners and that one corrugated terminal. Shiver me timbers. Which remidns me of a 'monkey that will eat anything' joke that I cannot post here.

I'm sure that all of us, at one time or another, have put the tip of our tongues on the terminals of a 9v battery in order to 'test' it. Um, right?

No, I've never done that but I have done things to electrical receptacles that I won't do again.
