Did a 30 mile test ride with the new pegs and am well pleased. Not a long enough ride to really tell if they will significantly improve comfort but I can say my legs felt a little more relaxed with a bit more room. They look a lot better in my opinion than the flat semi footboard type I had before and feel better in twisties when I am on the balls of my feet. They feel solid and no problem putting my full weight on them.
Got mine on today too. A little concerned that those bolts are sooooo skiny holding evry thing together. BUT glad you tested them. Ill go out in the a.m. For $40 bucks I gues they will do till I can find some used genmars. ANYONE HAVE A SET OF USED GENMAR LOWERING BRACKETS aloha
Hello Lather & CB, thinking of ordering theses also. Just wondering if you had to also reposition both gear & brake pedals, and also the brake switch?
Thanks
On my first ride with them I had a couple of missed shifts so I lowered the shift lever about 3/8th inch. After todays ride I think I will go down anoth 8th of an inch. I rarely use the rear brake and forgot to even test that but will try to remember next ride. Keep in mind I already had the levers adjusted for use with Murphs pegs. You may need to lower more if going from OEM pegs.
