Yeah, "Time- Space" compresses after enough sleep deprivation. I can remember a million sights on my long distance rides but the funny thing is that they are not strung together in any order, just random images. I still think there is really only one state west of Illinois named Monkodaington or something like that.
Something almost as good as an actual IBA ride itself is going on a group saddlesore 1000. The Minuteman 1000 in MA starts at 6:00 AM Sat. morning and ends at 6:00 AM Sunday. Eighty riders, more or less, and about everyone stays at the hotel Friday night to start out Sat. morning. But being the
chea.... er, frugal folk that we all tend to be, virtually no one gets a room for Sunday. So there are eighty dirty, somewhat cranky, sleep deprived people wandering all over the hotel and grounds.... lots of them sleeping in the <closed> bar, in the hallways, around the rally / banquet room, etc. It looks like a starving, homeless bunch of people who happen to be wearing boots and have a helmet.

Yeah, I did a SS1000 and have never had it certified. I asked about it and they said no time limit to turn it in. I still have all the documentation. I bought a notebook just for the occasion and put all the receipts in there. When I got done with mine I didn't want to forget anything so I sat down and wrote a report and attached pictures to it. I still have it. Great to go back and read it cause I couldn't begin to remember all the little things.
