Here's some pix of my original 1109 top end buildup that I just happened to find. The cylinder block is a zx11 block with the cam chain channel cut off and the connie zg1000 channel welded on, then it was de-jugged, decked top and bottom, re-jugged, and bored +2mm for 1109 cc's. It's +4mm over a zg1000 bore. The head work is high velocity ported, with the ports filled with epoxy to raise and narrow the ports for midrange. A subsequent dyno run with the first 2 minute mod jetting netter 117 RWHP @ 9300 rpm. Enjoy! Steve

This should give some folks a bit of perspective.

Got any photos of the chain case weldup? I think that is one of the more interesting things that most guys would not consider doing to make this work. Part of your mad scientist personality

Awesome album Steve!
The welding is outstanding!
What is the benefit of the springless carbs?

It's using metered air to control the slides as opposed to using a spring. That way I can more easily make changes to the slide reaction, thus making carbs that are much more responsive and balanced, one to another. Steve
