Steve- I noticed the glaring white space in the Northwest is still not filled in. Why not? Tom Taylor Cog #7173.My KLR broke down, had haul it back in a pick up to my Navy boy's house at NAS Point Mugu. Although, when I was out there two weeks ago, they had two winter storms in a row come down from Alaska. They were calling for 2-3" of rain north of San Fran, snow in the mountains. I did have to fight snow for a couple of days, one place near us got dumped on with 4 feet. Temps in Tahoe were running 30* below average. Nasty bit of luck on the bike and weather. Good news is the KLR will be fixed in a week or so, and good to go for another try at it next year.
MARGE'S COFFEE!?? Can't pass this up, Teressa and I will be there, thanks!Cool, we get to see ya before your odyssey trip. Your cup is clean and waiting for ya.
Ok Steve, I plan on being there for Margie's coffee. I arrive from Portland Maine Friday night so it will be nice to get back to the Florida heat.I know what you mean about it being nice to get back in the heat. When I flew back from Cali with temps in the 60's, that fresh blast of humidity when stepping out from the airport was quite refreshing.
SteveJ: you mind if i bring my atlas seeking consultation before my mad cross country trip? Anyone that corsses the country on an old KLR650.... anyway I need just a few tips on Colorado and Cali and the cool spots between pleaseBring it on, it would be an honor to "tell you where to go." I'm a little light on the Cali info as I broke my KLR out there. Short trip. Still have some good stuff there, though, and others that are here may be able to help. It's all good.
