Indiana has some slippery ass snakes. Not only do you get snakes with no sand or texture but you get massive volume per square foot of road. Ridiculous.
Once you get past that you inevitably turn on to a road that has been freshly done with chip seal. Kryptonite for bikes.
From our paper yesterday
"Moyer told the commissioners on Tuesday the funds, along with the local match, will pay for 33 projects, including two bridge projects and 37 miles of road,
most of which will be resurfaced in the chip-and-seal process. Moyer said the road improvements alone will account for about $1.3 million."
