Quite a few years back before these types of programs became popular, I read stories where a group of pro-gun guys set up a tent across the street with a big sign to stop at their tent first and most likely get more money as many who turn these guns in have no idea that many are worth much more than what the city gives them. I've often wanted to do this as my city sometimes has a "turn in" event.
