Half way to being broken in...
« on: July 04, 2012, 01:22:14 PM »
Picked up my new C14 a week ago today and of course have had only three days since without rain (gotta love Seattle!). As of this morning I had managed to get 200 miles on the clock, finally with a day that doesn't have rain in the forecast, I decided to go for a little morning jaunt.

Went out the back roads to Granite Falls and then headed for the Mountain Loop Hwy over to Darrington. The bike handed wonderfully on the 122 mile ride, even on the 14 miles of hard pack dirt/gravel road from Barlow Pass until you get about 7 miles from Darrington. I managed to avoid all the potholes, but the bike got pretty dirty. A day of "firsts" with the new C14 - First over 100 mile ride, First mountain pass, First gravel road, and First bath.

With today's ride I am up to 322 miles, just over halfway to the break, service appointment is already set for Tuesday, so hopefully the weather holds for the next few days and I can have sunshine for the next 300...

From Google maps today's ride:
