Well, I got my '08 in July '07 and I don't remember any slight leaks in the driveline.
I know the final drive will sling off excess grease (spline grease) but not lube, and after wiping up the grease once or twice the problem goes away.
Yeah, the photos and a lot of data went poof :-( Too bad as there was a lot of info there, along with some famous and infamous threads.
Back to the lube problem- that is my general recommendation for all leaks or weepage that does not leave a puddle; wipe it up and see if it comes back. If it does then it should probably be attended to IMO. As a general rule, modern motorcycles, and Japanese motorcycles for decades simply do not leak fluids of any kind, sort of like a good pet such as Kirby.

Brian, this sounds like what we had early on with 08/09 bikes. There would be a little weepage, actually more like a smudge and that was it. Multiple members had it. Nothing to worry about. If it's more than that then it's something else. We had a picture of it but alas, it went poof.
