Now before you all ask "WTF do you want a drivers backrest for?" let me explain...
About 10 years ago I really messed up my lower back. Since then I've had two herniated discs, two surgeries, and regular muscular problems. When I started riding again in 2008 my back wasn't an issue as my Yamaha Road Star had a drivers backrest which took all the stress of supporting/stabilizing my upper body off my lower back muscles. However, now that I have the Connie it's a huge issue and has really limited my riding (a mere 2,000 miles in the year I've had it) as after one day on the bike my back is killing me for 4-5 days. That being the case I'm pretty much at the point where I only have two options: Get a seat with a backrest or sell the Connie and get something else that has a backrest. I really love the Connie so I'd like to keep it if at all possible.
Saw some photo's of the Russell Day-Long seat with the optional riders backrest and thought that this may just be my salvation. Unfortunately the two pic's I found show the backrest folded forward and out of the way so I can't see how it will sit when riding. There's also no information on Russell's website about if there's any adjust-ability built into the backrest (up and down, fore and aft, and angle).
I'm hoping someone here has one and can maybe provide some additional photo's and give me some info on how adjustable the backrest is. I have 2" bar risers so I sit with just a slight forward lean in my upper torso, but I also sit more in the middle of the seat rather than to the rear.
