Mid-controls?
« on: May 23, 2011, 11:48:24 AM »
Has anyone attempted to make a mid-control setup?  Possible problems that could be encountered?  I've put a 1000 miles on Ronnie's touring pegs and I have to say I like the position.  I would love to make that the primary foot position.
My parts are forged with voodoo curses and unicorn tears.

This should be fun........ ;D

Contact with the ground while turning would be the first problem I think of.

If that's not a problem for you, then you just need to get everything fabed up.  Brake side foot peg along with the brake lever just unbolts if I remember correctly. You could move it forward with a longer rear brake line.

Shifter side needs new linkage.  If you can't fabricate the parts yourself, this project will get expensive in a hurry.
