Thats a fuuny to me... RB's stands for Ronnie Bowles, he owned the restaurant business on Shem Creek for years.. every restaurant.. so it didnt matter where you ate, it went in his pocket..
When times got tight, he closed a couple and burned the rest... so now its a free market again, but RB's is considered the tourist trap! Really they are all tourist traps... there are a couple scary places on James Island, on the road to Folly Beach which have been recognized by national networks are the oyster or clam houses... they are very rural in style. There are numerous spots along the "creek" that sell fresh off the boat and if you can boil.. OMG!
