Cruise control
« on: April 26, 2012, 07:54:38 AM »
A buddy has an audiovox cruise control on his ST1300 it works fine except for when he is going on a down grade. It doesn't hold the speed, up hill works fine and his vacuum canister is correct size. He said there are toggle switches on the unit and asked me to see what others have their switches set at and if they have this problem.

Check on the Murphskits site. They have an install page with the settings.

May sound like a silly question but... When you say "it doesn't hold speed" on a downhill grade are you saying the bike speeds up or slows down?
Cruise control does not have the ability to apply the brakes only add or remove throttle. It is not unusual when going downhill to increase speed. All of my vehicles do this.  :)

I'll check with him on that. He didn't say which way it was, increase or decrease.
