new 2011 connie
« on: April 07, 2012, 07:37:14 PM »
well i did it. traded in the vulcan for a new left over 2011,man what a amazing machine. after riding the vulcan to the dealer then riding the concours home what a differance, this thing is like a caddilac, very impressed. no problems, no buzz vibration, pulsing of the brakes, only one bar up on the coolant temp.very nice only got 76 miles on her today more too come sunday.picked up the 3 year extended warranty for 340.00 sounded like a good deal. cant seem to figure out the clock setting, the owners manual says to hold the top button for a couple seconds till the clock flashes then use the bottom button to set time. ive tried alot of times but cant seem to get it too work i must be doing something wrong any help on that would be great other wise its a perfect machine for the kind of riding i do. thanks for any help on the clock setting problem. oh yeah its silver.and thanks everyone for all the info on here, made the decision much eaiser

Congrats sir! I have an 09', and you have to hold the top and bottom at the same time to get to the menu. Maybe the 11' is the same?

Ahhhh, that clock. I just picked up a 2011 in the last two weeks and had trouble setting the clock. The secret is to select the "language" first before setting the clock. Even if English is selected, scroll through the menu and select it again, then do the clock set sequence according to the manual. Took me two weeks of trial and error to set mine. After subtracting 3 hours and 7 minutes from the time on the clock to get the correct time, I was glad to finally get it set.

And get ready to reset it when daylight savings time ends.

Congrats on your new bike!

Regarding the clock, set mine only once, so it is only right during dalylight savings time.

Congrats!  Of course, there are a lot more things to love about the Concours than just the bags ;)

Well I sure hope you are right about that. I’m my case you can’t be my number one bike by just talk, you need to prove yourself on the road. So its number 3 right now because number 4 is in pieces lol. Let’s see if it can move up to number 1, although you can’t ever expect it to outdo the Ducati on the track.
