Another PSA for Direct TV viewers

DirecTV stopped airing Q13 FOX at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, having failed to offer Tribune Broadcasting fair compensation for our programming. Federal law prohibits DirecTV from carrying Q13 FOX without an agreement in place. This means DirecTV subscribers are no longer able to watch their favorite programs through DirecTV.
 
Why are we sending this message to you?
• If you’re thinking about switching to DirecTV, why take the risk of missing Q13 FOX?
• If you know someone who has DirecTV and doesn’t know why they’re missing Q13 FOX, send them to TellDirecTV.com to learn more.
• If you’re a current DirecTV subscriber, we urge you to call 800-KEEPFOX (800-533-7369) toll free, and tell DirecTV you want us back.
 
We also want to help everyone find other ways to watch your favorite shows in high definition. You do have options.
 
You can use an over-the-air antenna and watch Q13 FOX for free. DTV.GOV is an excellent resource, with tips on choosing an antenna, improving reception and “rescanning” if you don’t already see Q13 FOX. Assistance is available by calling 888-CALL-FCC (888-225-5322). You can also sign up with another satellite or cable television provider.

Today is Martinsville, one of the best NASCAR races of the season.  Guess what?  Time to change providers

wrestling?  Heck no.  NASCAR?  Yup, but it is also my prime local news channel.  Watching the race on Direct TVs "Special" Hot Pass split screen, radio chatter over everything else, they decide how many HMS drivers they will air ( I bought a big screen to see a big screen, if I want 2 small TVs I woulda bought 2 TVs) really sucked, and I think it was a really good race, hard to tell as Kenseths spotter called out lap times every 20 some odd seconds.
I am also changing because this is the only local channel with news I can stomach.

direct dropped a local channel Sunday but didn't drop their sister station, which is the FOX affiliate.
